Presentation by Origini Edizioni:

" The skin does not lie: it's a person's age map; it's the paper where their choices, failures, passions, fears are written on. The body defines ourselves, it stratifies and heals passing of time under veils, blankets and hidings. As the trunk to the trees.

As the paper to this book: it changes, it is crumpled or turns thin and transparent, defining - thanks to Ingrid De Kok's words - the map of a weathered body. "

This book was initially published in a signed & numbered edition of 150 copies that was almost instantly sold out. Lansink, Margaret

Margaret Lansink is a Dutch photographer. Visual investigation of the relationship between humans and  their (physical) environment is the main focus of Lansinks work, she often feels like a spectator of a play; looking from the outside in to what happens. In her work, Lansink explores relationships, trying to bridge the personal and the universal. The way she photographs is purely intuitive; her images present an open and honest reflection of her own inner emotions at a certain time, space and interaction. Her series "Borders of Nothingness - On the Mend", about a separation from and her reunion with her daughter was presented in the "Off" of the Rencontres d'Arles festival in 2017, and published with the same title by the(M) éditions in 2020. In 2020 as well, she publishes "Body Maps" with Origini Edizioni. Margaret Lansink had previously self-published three photobooks, including "Fear no More" in 2017 and "The Kindness of One" (in collaboration with Kaunas Gallery, Lithuania) in 2019. © Portrait & biographic elements taken from the artist's website
  • Presentation on the artist's website:    " « In the infinite flow of everything, people come and go in our lives. While the presence of some can be so subtle that we hardly register when it begins or ends, with others it's far clearer: they enter, or leave, with a bang. In her delicate and powerful series of black and white images, Dutch photographer...

Presentation by Origini edizioni: " Before realizing Dede's geographical origin, her images had spoken to us, suggesting the title and conceptual apparatus they needed. We have seen the fulfillment of Anaximander's Ápeiron, of the indefinite infinity of a pre-mythical time, where everything is primordial matter and fluidity. A true expression of the...

  • Presentation by Origini Edizioni: " Movement of body in dance here becomes the ritual with which we try to overcome the gravitational pull: dance is a representation of the myth of flight, of lightness. And this continuous physical struggle of the mass against the attractive force of the ground, of the artist against the tireless search for answers, is...

  • Presentation by Origini Edizioni: " The book is an album that shows two different ways to interpret the photography media. One as dramatic and Romantic (Valentino Barachini), the other as the search of beauty and graphic virtuosity (Cristiano Guerri). These two visions dialogue without words, then transforming each photo into a poster: the photobook,...
