DISKO is first and foremost a brilliant series of portraits of the Lithuanian youth in the rural discos; dancers, couples, music, transe, boredom, looks... But DISKO is also a trip in these places that can be labeled as "post-soviet", with somewhat outdated atmospheres, where these young people gather and mingle.
As Andrew Miksys indicated in his Kickstarter campaign presentation: "It seemed like a perfect backdrop to make a series of photographs about young people in Lithuania, a crumbling past and the uncertain future of a new generation together in one room."
