"Mioveni is a city in Romania located between Bucarest and the Carpathian Mountains.
After the fall of communism, the city was able to survive thanks to the automotive industry. All the inhabitants live today following the rhythm of the factory. Over a period of three years, photographer Anne Leroy and journalist Julia Beurq have followed the daily life of the inhabitants of Mioveni, gathering images and stories that immerse the reader in the intimacy of a worker's life.
This book renders their on-site immersion in this factory-work city that, following the takeover of Dacia by Renault fifteen years ago, seems to have avoided the fate of other single-industry cities that fell into ruin after the collapse of communism."
The texts by Julia Beurq, in different signatures inserted in the main binding are in French and Romanian only.
Copies signed by the photographer Anne Leroy.
