Alessia Bernardini's presentation:

"Becoming Simone is a story about a man who has been living in a woman's body until the age of 51. The project is an investigation through memories, courage, discomfort, dreams and life expectations."

A beautiful project on the quite difficult and moving subject of gender transformation, and imprisonment in an enveloppe that you feel does not belong to you.

A beautiful book, delicate and complex, that takes us along on this path of life, searching for the true personality and the true body of this person - born a woman - who wants to become Simone (a male name in Italy)

This book won the "Self-publish Riga" award and has been shortlisted for the FotobookFestival "Dummy Awards 2014".
