For the Afghanistan series presented in this issue of the "Zine Collection", Majid Saeedi, journalist and reporter for the Getty Images agency, focused on the Afghan people, on people whose lives are upset, often traumatized, even destroyed by the conflict; but it does not hide the conflict itself and also shows us the horror ...
Movement and life rub shoulders with solemnity and death, and the graphic beauty of images of children playing in ruins is opposed to the horror of scenes of war; but if Majid Saeedi treats all the subjects, he manages to transmit in each image the lightness or the gravity that should be: if the happy images are often beautiful and airy, the images of pain or violence are sober but powerful.

PLEASE NOTE: Our last copy has a small (1.5 cm approx.) dark smudge at the back. It might be possible to clean it / erase it, but we did not try...
