Stakeout Diary (*with Print*)

@ Yukichi, Watabe

New

.Sold out.    But we are still offering the "regular" edition (see "Suggestions").

Stakeout Diary is a re-interpretation of Watabe Yukichi's work already presented by Éditions Xavier Barral and D.A.P in a book form as A Criminal Investigation (cf. "Suggestions" tab).

This new book, which offers a slightly different selection of images, in a totally re-worked sequence, is of a totally different design (by Masami Furuta) : the photographs are on a slightly glossy paper, in a less grainy and brighter printing, and room is left for white backgroung on landscape-forlat images.

Stakeout Diary is a really beautiful book in its own right, that does not need any comparison to be legitimate in our shelves or in yours, but it is still very interesting to compare because it will allow the lucky ones that have a copy of A Criminal Investigation to realise the importance of editing and publishing in the final result, the general impression and the emotion conveyed by a given series of images arranged in a book form.
In the end, Stakeout Diary is probably less mysterious, but it is more lively.

The work of Yukichi Watabe deserved to be revisited anyway, and Roshin Books offer us here a beautiful piece.

We have 2 copies of the Limited Edition that comes with a 8"x10" print (by Toshiya Murakoshi) on Ilford Multigrade Fiber Paper Warmtone (used for production of the book). Please refer to the image carrousel to have a look at the two different prints offered (each print is unique).

We also offer the "trade" version of this book (cf. "Suggestions" tab), available with 3 different covers, which are different from that of the Limited Edtion.
