This book is a reflection by a group of visual artists in Bordeaux on their work, their profession, and their experience being part of a long-term residency in a large facility (La Fabrique Pola) hosting dozens of structures dedicated to arts and crafts and culture at large.

" Au-delà de l'image de l'artiste présentée aujourd’hui comme modèle idéal de la créativité, qu'en est-il concrètement de l'être-artiste et du faire-artiste dans notre société ? Onze artistes inscrits dans le champ des arts visuels (Olivier Crouzel, Sabine Delcour, Louise Heugel, Kevin Huber, Geörgette Power, Nicolas Milhé, Anne Moirier, Guillaume Ruiz, le duo Segondurante et Marianne Vieulès), accueillis pour une durée limitée au sein d'une structure artistique et culturelle : la Fabrique Pola à Bordeaux, ont décidé au moment de quitter leur atelier, de créer un lieu en commun sous la forme d'un livre.
Échantillon 0.016 rassemble le récit choral de leurs voix anonymes qui met en résonance les coulisses de leur métier (« Il n'y a pas de feu sans fumée », S. Delcour), un texte analytique basé sur l'expérience vécue et l'esthétique de l'existence qui donne sens à leur trajet artistique (« L'être soi », C. Malaurie) et un corpus d'images des protagonistes au travail. "
