Presentation on the Académie des Beaux-Arts website (where the series was on display in the Fall 2016) :
This book is composed of 3 separate booklets inserted in a partial « corner » slipcase. Each copy is signed and numbered on the back of the slipcase.
The photographs have to be looked at in landscape orientation, they are all embossed in a texture paper. In each booklet, the series of images is « embraced » in a sheet of silk paper. Several short texts or haikus by Bashō (in French only) are inserted between some of the images.

Presentation on the artist's website: " « In the infinite flow of everything, people come and go in our lives. While the presence of some can be so subtle that we hardly register when it begins or ends, with others it's far clearer: they enter, or leave, with a bang. In her delicate and powerful series of black and white images, Dutch photographer...
