Karin Crona was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Since 1999 she has lived and worked in Paris, France. She has  an MFA degree in graphic design & illustration and has studied photojournalism.

Her main subjects are the self-portrait and random wanderings around the city, especially the suburbs. Her artistic work, inspired by primitive art and surrealism, is tinged with Scandinavian melancholy. It incorporates photography, collage, drawing and printmaking.
