This book III is an "exercise in style", where lequel Robin Maddock uses three white "objects" blancs (a ping-pong ball, a sheet of paper and some milk) that he inserts in his images to bring a focal point, a contrast, sometimes a twist or even an awkwardness.
This "tool" shifts the interest in these images from their intrinsic quality to a perception that is certainly biased by a more graphic standpoint, with the frame and the construction being pushed forward.
A book that may be, not compared, but associated to Arnaud Lesage's series Anatopées de Arnaud Lesage (see the "Suggestions" tab) for the obvious "serial" research and effort in this body of work.
