"On March 11, 2011 a major earthquake devastated the Tohoku region of Japan. This book is comprised of photographs, which for the most part were taken while traveling to this area from April 11 to May 20, 2011. The photographer followed the Pacific coastline of Aomori, Iwate and Miyagi prefectures, taking his path inland upon reaching Fukushima."

This really beautiful photobook by Yutaka Fujii takes us from normal life to shattered life, in the eyes of the onlooking passerby who can only document the scenes happening before him, between simplicity and devastation, between calm and chaos.
A momentous catastrophy has happened, but the inhabitants have to keep on living, and the horse keeps on grazing...
