"Florence Cats et Joseph Charroy sont venus en Islande en août 2011 et ont décidé de faire le tour de l’île en auto-stop munis d’une tente, d’un carnet de notes et d’un appareil photo.
Ce « road trip » a donné naissance à un projet de livre : Le Vent qui a des yeux. Une quarantaine de photographies argentiques couleurs réalisées avec un appareil photo très modeste dans le mouvement de la route. Des images sans effet ni recherche du spectaculaire, qui se révèlent comme un humble hommage à l’étrange beauté de ce pays.
La trentaine de pages du récit de route fonctionne comme des haïkus ; perceptions instantanées de couleurs, de sons, de dialogues… alternées avec des passages où les rencontres et les visions sont décrites avec acuité et précision. L’ensemble, parsemé de citations de Virginia Woolf faisant corps avec le texte, poursuit un incessant questionnement intérieur.
