Réalisée en 2013, cette série est fidèle au travail d’Alexander Gronsky dont la singularité se retrouve dans les paysages abandonnés aux teintes pastelles qui confèrent à ces paysages déshumanisés une certaine douceur. Ici, la présence de l’homme est bien visible, seules les usines, massives, désertées restent les témoins d’une modernité en constant renouvellement."

A difficult subject, because the history of this town is really tragic (built by the Gulag prisoners, and today one of the most polluted cities on Earth), but a really beautiful project, and a great book on all aspects.
